Kouki SS14
Attention Showroom viewers! Today you are most definitely in for a treat. Our boy Nathaniel has submitted his one of a kind 1993 Nissan Silvia S14! This build is by far one of the cleanest S14’s I have ever had the privilege of writing about, with a mod list longer than those pharmacy receipts! So get the popcorn ready because this one’s going to be good.
We begin with the basics: Nathaniel has opted for a fully built SR20DET, with a tune on EMU Classic done by Matt Le. The power sits within a 1991 shell with only 4000km on it. No wonder the car looks so clean!
By fully built, we truly mean fully built. The cars got in a set of CP 86.5 pistons, with eagle rods, kind main and rod bearings and a Tomei MLS head gasket. So if you thought this build couldn’t hold power before, im sure this has changed your opinion.
The gaskets have all been replaced, and a much needed oversized oil pan has been installed. He has also opted for some 256 cams from Tomei, accounting for the cars crazy sound.
It isn’t really an SR20DET without the turbo now is it? So our boy Nathaniel went overboard with a Spectrum SR/51 ball bearing billet turbo and a Tial 38mm wastegate. A stainless steel screamer pipe has also been installed.
With regards to fuel, Injector Dynamics 1050x have been opted for, regulated by a Radium rail with gauge. To complement the injectors an AEM 340 fuel pump has also been installed. If there’s one thing I learned from writing about this build, its that the owners got his air fuel mix ratio absolutely dialed.
Mishimoto is the brand of choice for the intercooler and the radiator, and rightfully so. Both those products are Mishimoto’s forte.
We now move on to the more cosmetic side of things, beginning with the body mods. Nathaniel has opted for a tubed out front end, paired with some Origin front and rear fenders, and a stylish line kit.
PBM coilovers and R.U.C.A’s have also been installed, paired with a set of Work Meister S13 piece Wheels. The specs are as follows: 18x12-8 rear and 9.5+12 front.
Speaking of the rims and suspension setup, I must not forget about the handling setup that makes this build so unique. The traction rods and the toe arms have been sourced from ISR, paired with a set of 300zx brakes. With that in mind, it is without a doubt that this car does exactly what Nathaniel wants to to do, when he wants it to do it!
Upon further inspection, I have come to realize that the paint on this build is quite crazy as well. At first glance it may appear black. However, upon further inspection it appears that the black paint is littered with a ton of crazy gold flakes. If you ever see this build in person, make sure you look for this!
We now move into the interior. Spotting first a WHO digital dash. The seats are Bride type L Zeta 3’s with a set of Takata Drift 2 harnesses and Bride rails.
A Greddy Profec Boost controller can also be identified, with a full wire tuck and shaved fuel door in the trunk being identified upon further inspection.
Last but certainly not least, a set of Dmax tail lights can be seen resting above a massive Greddy full exhaust.
I absolutely loved writing about this car, and I just wanted to personally thank you Nathaniel on behalf of Orukana for all the work you have put in, creating this masterpiece.
