Nic’s Rx7

Nic's love for RX7s started young, and with four FCs, one FB, and an RX8 already under his belt, it was no surprise when he embarked on his latest adventure with his 1987 RX7.

Nic's first FC build was a comprehensive project, but it tragically ended in flames during the first startup. Fast forward to the present, and Nic stumbled upon a rare gem—a JDM/RHD FC with a unique history.

Originally owned by Joe Ferguson of RPM Motorsports, this RX7 had been transformed into a powerhouse, boasting an RPM Motorsports street-ported 13B engine, a Greedy front-mount intercooler, and a Volvo power steering pump.

Despite changing hands multiple times and falling into disrepair, Nic couldn't resist the challenge of bringing this RX7 back to life. In under a year, it underwent a stunning transformation.

The exterior now gleams in vibrant red, and the interior was fully restored, featuring custom 3D-printed gauges for right-hand drive and a flip-out radio. Mechanical upgrades included a Koyo radiator, an electric fan shroud, and an ACT clutch and pressure plate.

Inside, the RX7 boasts a comprehensive gauge set, including an AEM air-fuel ratio gauge and Greddy boost gauge. Auto Meter gauges for coolant and oil pressure were also added. The Momo steering wheel adds a sporty touch, while R32 Skyline wheels complete the look.

Nic's 1987 RX7 is a testament to passion and perseverance. With an RPM Motorsports street-ported 13B engine, a Greedy front-mount intercooler, and a Volvo power steering pump, this RX7 is a living legend, proving that dedication can resurrect even the most forlorn automotive dreams.
