It was August of 2020. Our friend Jordyn decided to make a 22-hour trek to pick up this clean-body Infiniti G35. This was following months of searching for what he thought was impossible to find. Despite its high miles, Jordyn knew that he was either going to swap it, or build the VQ. All he wanted was a clean body, and this car had it.

The winter after Jordyn brought the car home, the work began. Starting with drilling into the quarters to mount the widebody kit that’s on the car now. With regard to that, Jordyn opted for a Fibreglass Mafia widebody. To perfect fitment, they also opted for a set of Wed Kranze Vishnu rims. Even having some custom lips built for them, with a final sizing of 19x13.5 in the front and 19x15 in the rear.

Just as the widebody was finished and dialled in, the beloved VQ35 breathed its last breath. With three bent rods and a block full of pressure cracks, it was time to choose the next route. Our friend Jordyn decided to opt for an LS, and we are in full support. The LOJ Conversions kit was used to fit the LQ4 into the car, and a Wiring Specialties harness was used to power it all. From there, everything was running and working properly, but Jordyn wanted more. The car now has a Texas Speed custom ground cam, and some Thompson Motorsports 799 ported and polished heads.

The Fibreglass Mafia Widebody then went in for surgery, as the rear wheels were too wide to achieve the fitment that Jordyn wanted. They ended up being cut in half and then widened 2.5 inches per side in the rear. They were paired with a set of Tuhart Air struts and Airlift 3P management. Finally achieving perfect fitment.

Jordyn has made it clear that the car is far from finished. The entire build process has been documented from start to finish, so make sure you click one of the images above to be taken to the Instagram for Sally the G. Also make sure you click the like button below, to show this G some love!
