Eduardo’s Mazdaspeed 3

For many car enthusiasts, the journey of owning and modifying a car is filled with memorable moments. This is certainly true for Eduardo and his 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, fondly known as "Applespeed3."

Eduardo's story with his Mazdaspeed 3 began three years ago when he found it on Kijiji. Captivated by its performance and potential, he wasted no time and picked up the car the very next day. With 263 horsepower under the hood, the car has provided countless hours of driving pleasure, both on the road and on the track.

One day, Eduardo took his Mazdaspeed 3 to the track, eager to push it to its limits. The experience was exhilarating, reminiscent of driving on legendary tracks like Monaco or Nürburgring. However, the fun was cut short when the brakes started to fail. Unbeknownst to Eduardo, one of the rear flexible brake lines was leaking brake fluid, leading to a terrifying realization on the track.

After parking the car, Eduardo discovered the brake issue. His car insurance’s tow service refused to help due to the distance, leaving him stranded. Five days later, Eduardo returned to the track with the necessary tools, a good friend, and food to fix the car. After a few hours of work, the Mazdaspeed 3 was back on the road, ready for more adventures.

Eduardo’s 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 features a range of modifications that enhance its performance and uniqueness. The car is equipped with Godspeed Project Mono SS coilovers and adjustable front end links, providing improved handling and a customized stance. It rides on 225/45/17 tires mounted on JNC rims, believed to be 2-piece wheels. The performance is further boosted by a Turbosmart BOV, a Mishimoto air intake, a Cobb air filter, and a handcrafted cold air box.

Inside, the car is fitted with ProSport exhaust temperature and boost gauges, providing crucial information during spirited drives. The audio system includes a double DIN Pioneer stereo with aftermarket speakers and a subwoofer, enhancing the driving experience.

The car's unique and shiny paint job often draws compliments and inquiries, adding to its distinctive character.

Eduardo's journey with his 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 is ongoing. He plans to keep the car close to stock conditions while adding a high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP), a full exhaust system, and an Accessport for tuning. Each planned modification brings new excitement and anticipation, further fueling his passion for the automotive world.
